The project “Social inclusion through practical training of disadvantaged groups” is a VET mobility project, which promotes the social inclusion, diversity, equality and non-discrimination among Roma ethnicity, who are enrolled at the program “The second chance” (lower secondary cycle). Through this project we will improve the access of socio-economically disadvantaged groups, inclusively persons with disabilities, to training mobilities, in real working conditions, which are specific for the 3rd level professional qualification.
In this context, with a working labor that refuses the access of the graduates from “Second Chance” program, the project wants to offer to the participants the chance to be professionally trained in companies from Europe. By opening the professional training of the students from the “Second chance”, at European level, we will determinate the local economic agents to be involved in our school’s activities and to hire the graduates from “Second Chance” program.
The main objective of our project is to implement 2 practice stages, during a 4 week period, in real working conditions, for the students from the “Second chance” program with “maintenance mechanic” and “Textile and leather products manufacturing” qualifications.
The specific objectives of the project are:
-implementing two practice mobilities, in real working conditions, for 31 participants who are at risk to be ethnically and socially discriminated.
-the increasing impact of “Second chance” program, at the local, regional, and national level.
-acquiering specific professional competencies for “maintenance mechanic” and “textile industry/ leather products manufacturing” qualifications, for 31 graduates of the program “Second chance”.
-establishing a long term partnership (school, receiving partners, economic agents).
This partnership will sustain the “Second chance program” for the lower secondary cycle, including the organization of practice stages in real working conditions .
The results of the project will be:
-2 practice mobilities, during a 4 week period, within direct receiving partners, for 31 participants who are enrolled at the “Second chance” program, lower secondary cycle.
-the web page of the project, which will be a platform for exchanges of good practices (in organizing practice mobilities for the students from “Second chance” program).
-the final conference of the project.
The project will have an impact on the participants because they will acquire new professional competencies which are specific to their qualification. They will also have access to the European labor market. Through this project we will develop partnerships with the local economic agents, who will want to receive in the future, the students who are enrolled at “Second chance” program.
The project will offer an example of good practices regarding the development of “Second chance” program, especially the implementation of practice mobilities. On the long term, we take into consideration the accreditation of other professional qualifications. This fact will open new possibilities and opportunities, for professional training, for the students who are enrolled to the “Second chance” program.
